Dermatology in Action was created to promote volunteerism and goodwill, and to demonstrate compassion within the specialty, including giving back to the communities that host the Annual and Summer Academy Meetings. At the 2012 Annual Meeting in San Diego, Calif., hands-on volunteers painted the interior of a residential building. Learn about future projects or donate now!
The Academy is supporting efforts by the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) to prevent skin cancer among albinos in sub-Saharan Africa by providing them with hats and other sun-protective items through the Regional Dermatology Training Center in Moshi, Tanzania.
