“My husband Rhett Fisher and I have been incredibly blessed and wished to extend those blessings to others. When we got married, we asked our family and friends to give to one of our preferred charities in lieu of gifts. It was a natural extension of my profession to choose Camp Discovery as a way for our wedding guests to honor our nuptials. I have a nephew with a blistering disorder called Epidermolysis Bullosa, and we are thrilled there is an outlet for him to bond with other children with skin disorders at Camp Discovery.”


Tribute Gifts

Tribute gifts provide meaningful recognition of life's celebrations and special occasions, or sincere condolences on the passing of a patient, colleague, or loved one. Honor or remember those close to you while contributing to the Academy's extraordinary programs. Your Tribute donation is included in Sustaining Fund recognition.

 

When you make a Tribute donation, we will notify the honoree or family of your special gift, and the person honored or remembered will be recognized on our special Tributes listing.

 

How can I be a part of the Academy's Tribute program? Give a gift...

 

...in honor of a patient, colleague or loved one. With an accolade donation, you have the opportunity to:

  • Acknowledge a remarkable person in your life

  • Honor a dermatologist who has provided outstanding care

  • Commemorate a special occasion

  • Celebrate a career milestone, such as:

    • Graduation

    • Completing residency

    • Passing a certification exam

    • Starting a new job or a new practice

    • Promotion

    • Retirement

  • Recognize someone for a job well done

  • Show gratitude for referrals
  • Offer congratulations for special accomplishments or awards

  • Receiving a gold star pin that he or she can wear at the Annual and Summer Academy Meetings
  • Receiving a letter that explains that you have made a contribution to the Academy's Leadership Institute in recognition of your mentor relationship.

...on behalf of someone. These gifts allow a company to:

  • Donate in your name (third party gifts)
  • Show appreciation of services they were provided by a physician
